Nepal has become the famous country in the world for its mountains. Nepal has eight highest peaks among fourteen in the world. Nepal is blessed with the highest peak Mt. Everest (8848 m) in the world, which Nepali people are proud of. Similarly, Kangchenjunga 8586 m (28169 ft), Lhotse 8501 m (27920 ft), Makalu I 8462 m (27765 ft), Cho Oyu 8201 m (26906 ft), Dhaulagiri 8167 m (26794 ft), Manaslu I 8156 m (26758 ft), and Annapurna I 8091m  (26545 ft). It's not the matter of surprise that Nepal is the favorite destination for mountaineers in the world. More than 700 mountaineers are supposed to trudge up the Himalaya, including the trekking peaks.

Due to the presence of some beautiful trekking routes, Nepal has attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors from all over the world. The best seasons for the mountaineers can be divided into four parts: Spring (March-May, Summer (June-Aug), Autumn (Sep – Nov), and Winter (Dec – Feb). Among the total peaks, 153 Himalayan mountains are open, which are also known as mountaineering peaks. Similarly, for trekking peaks, there are 18 smaller peaks, ranging from  5587 m to 6654 m in elevation.You have to apply for a climbing permit by sending the necessary documents to MOTCA. On the "first come first served" basis, NMA issues the permits to climb trekking peaks. For the expedition, it is mandatory to appoint a trekking agency in Nepal. Mountaineers must have the courage and ability to use utensil and climbing equipment very well while trekking above the snowline as it is thought-provoking with extreme stress on solidarity. It is necessary to be trained to overcome the various liable complications such as unstable snow, abrupt changing atmosphere, cold, dehydration and high elevation situations.
